Use of Scent in Advertising.
Start with an introduction saying companies likes to use scent in their
advertisements. For instance scented \\"prints\\" in print media for products
such as Perfume, and another product that I forgot. However, these marketing
guys probably does not realize, or aware, or care to find our ( I forgot which
one) the physiological responses that these scents induce in people.
Then it went on to describe how scent simulates your olfactory neurons and go
straight to (screw up, ETS mostly) your brain. However, it then argues that
doing such study on consumers are not easy because people have a limited range
of responsiveness to scent, at about 50. That is, we can tell about 50 different
scents. IN CONTRAST, study using VISUAL CUE ar easier to conduct ( an inference
question here).
Question :
What can be infered about ability to detect visual cue ?
