re-evaluate this month\\\'\\\'s GMAT(转自Robert之家)

Took GMAT yesterday and got a score even lower than one years ago. I dont think whether my opinions are too extreme but I just wanna pose an alert that we better evaluate JJ, GMAT, OG and ETS again. Wish it just a redundant worry.

Since the beginning of this month, GMAT has become totally different as below:

a. MATH.

It becomes very difficult. Even if i met so many JJ in the math, i still got some brand new puzzles again in the middle of math. I gave up one and spent two others for more than 5 minutes each. so i found there was no much time left and caught up and just finished one minute in advance. Fortunately I still got 5x.

b. RC.

I met two RC in the first 10. One was women and two magzines and the other was brand new. JJ the hell is of no helf because the choices were too identical to select. 3-2 split is a history. XDF methodology of structure analysis is history. just those two essays got me messed up and then i wished i got some JJ CR afterwards, but unfortunately NO! Then two new RC to \\"grand\\" me. I gave up the last one. As many Qian Bai said, there were too many questions of \\"in order to\\" and details. To be honest with you guys, i couldnt make clear of those complex structures. for example, i lost my mind in all the second \\"however\\" in three articles. I hate however after another however in RC. i gotta gave up!

c. CR

no JJ at all. they did not look like either LSAT nor OG. anyway i lost just due to CR. in the practice, i got around 16-18 rights out of 24 in LSAT. But yesterday I just made sure of two rights of all the CR in the test.

d. SC

not tough but very time-cost. LZM is history. phrase is history. even OG and grammar rules are history. it is just like a parellel game. but unfortunately some ones took me three minutes long to get a perfect match, after i compared all the possibilities of parallel, all of sudden i found that it was no time left. then I lost the rhythem till the GAME IS OVER!

e. ETS

I just doubt the ETS held an urgent meeting after so many 7xx in the end of last month as is the case that they cancelled the computer GRE after the sprawl of 2400. So they totally made a turn. They set up too many tough puzzles in math. Even if you get some done with the help of JJ, you will still encount new ones and leave no time behind. plus no any clue to get the RC done even if you read the detailed paraphrases of JJ. The lucky \\"Black landloard\\" JJ will become the lucky guys'' romantic memory in Nov and daydream of mine and further beyond. It is just a Chinese old saying: One feet of Qi and one yard of magic follows. (BTW, it is just a math jj. when you meet a tough trap in math and failed then you will get an easy question about 1 yard=3 feet. Yummy!)

f. JJ

math jj is still helpful but you better remember the answers and reserve time more for the further brand new traps ahead. the solutions of the traps are temporarily out of our chinese mind because they the helll are different from our math trainning in china. it is just like a smart brain turn-over! But i dont think such a game is enjoyable in such a nervous test. I always am confident of my math brain even if i am so old now but I still lost the path in last ten minutes in the math ( I finished the last 5 in just a couple of minutes because i just wondering whether another puzzle were still there)

RC jj is of no help. you must read every corner of every article and make sure you get understood of it. otherwise you cannot make sure of your choice. maybe i am too old to make my rusty brain run in the test.

I have no idea about CR, my favorite became the nightware yesterday.

How to crack down the SC and save more time for RC and CR? I think if we can, it will be our fortune and hope.

h, b-school application

if you get a score below 700 or even a little bit more, just forget top 30 (save your top 30 dream for your generation and save your stanford and kellogg dream for the generation after the next. I wish they needed not to learn english like their grandpa and grandma). trust me, i am Guo Lei Ren. If you wanna know how those campus look like, I wil tell you. But keep in mind they are just photos I took there as a visitor.
