Sad day. Anyway, here are the JJs that i can contribute:
AWA: A memorandum from Avia Airlines Department
Nine out of every 1000 passengers filed a complaint about the baggage-handling
procedures. The management says there is no need to review/improve this
statistic figure.
AI: Historic buildings are important source of a society's history. But critics
have been mounting that preservation of historic buildings are not practical, so
it is better to release them for modern development.
Math: (they didn't ask me for the scratch paper!!)
i met quite a lot of JJs
3^x - 3^x-3 = 26/3^9, x = ?
i chose x = -6
throw coin five times, ask the prob. of first 3 are heads and last 2 are tails.
old jj
x and y are positive, is x > y?
(i) x + y < 1
(ii) x^2 < 2y
i chose E
x and y are positive integers, , k represents the largest common factor of these
two integers, what is t?
(i) forgot
(ii) y = x + 7
but i assure that x = 9753 and y = 9754, what is the LCF.
2^2 - 1/2^2!!! dumb question
a triangle ABC is drawn, draw one line and make a right angle to the base line
at point d.Ask what is the perimeter of the triangle?
i can't draw the triangle here, here's the description. AB makes the base line
of the triangle and point D from C divides AB into AD and BD, which AD = 9, BD =
4 or 5
(i) tells the area of the triangle ADC
(ii) tells the area of the triangle ADB
i chose D
jj, question about walk rate = 4mph, run = 6mph, ask average speed of walking 5
mile and run 3 mile
jj, A right triangle is drawn, the opposite site of right angle is 10, sum of
the sides next to right angle is 12. Ask Area?
x = square root of 8xy - 16y^2, in terms of Y, x = ?
i chose x = 4y
three machines, A produces 500 pages in 2 hours, B produces 500 pages in 3
hours, C produces 500 pages in 5 hours. How long does it take to produce 1000
pages together.
i chose 60/31 (answer might not accurate)
a box contains balls, colored Red, Blue, Green, and Yellow. Ratio 6:5:2:2, how
many R are in there?
(i) R-B = 2;
(ii) total is 30 balls
a tough question to me, not sure if you guys can tell me the answer, if so,
email me to simkeechai@eudoramail.com
A person deposits K dollar in a bank in Jan 1 of 1992, and receives C% of
interest rate compound annually. At the end of 1994, the money including the
compounded interest = M, Ask, use the information above, what is the money to be
received at the end of year 1995?
A and B travel a distant finishing at same T. A travels 280 miles, B travels 255
miles. what is the average speed of A?
(i) t = 6
(ii) average speed of A is 5 miles faster than average speed of B
i chose D
1/(2/x + 3/Y)
answer = xy/(2y+3x)
Question gives you a formula h = -16(x-3)^2 + 150, talking about height of
something. then it gives you x = 2, ask h = ?
i chose 134
last question is also a dumb question, but i forgot :p
Verbal:
RC: 1) Talking about the women's role in ancient vase production society
2) Talking about a element in the tree. it protect the tree's leaf during fall
and blight light......
3) The population of one kind of Bird in Wetland-Waterfall. then tell us that
Coondor and Skunks threaten this bird by eating it's eggs. therefore, introduce
mice and ground squirres to the scenario, saying that by introduce these two
animals into the environment, Coondor and skunks will eat these two animals
instead of eating bird's egg or invading to bird's nest. But it appears that the
population of the bird didn't increase due to the new scenario, somehow the
population of the bird decreases!
the researchers doubt of this new scenario, and remove the coondor and skunks
from the environment, leaving bird, ground squirres, and mice in the
environment. Still, the bird's population didn't increase, it reduces instead.
therefore researchers conclude that it is squirres and mice who eat the eggs of
the bird. Blah blah, blah...... the passage is basically like this.
4) Forgot :(
SC: ......many schoos do not have, or(underline \\"or\\") likely to have,
.......
choices include, nor, nor are they, .....
CR: 1) old JJ, Frogs lay eggs in pond in forest.......
2) bridge builder: introduce electric bridge to replace concrete bridge, because
during winter time, the electric can be used to melt the ice, therefore it is
better to build electric one.
council: Oppose, electric bridge is likely to cost a lot of money, therefore,
concrete is still the better choice.
Q: which one, in tax payers' view point, provides the strongest opposition to
the council?
Not sure about the answer. but i chose the one that says using salt to melt the
bridge will corrode concrete bridge's structure, as a result the bridge can't
last long...
Sorry, these are all i could remember. Wish you all good luck.
