我记得自己在哪里见过银行的，找到了：
1: 很多经济雪茄认为，银行这种financial institution在经济中只是起minor作用，但是一些经济雪茄提出反对意见，他们对于十九世纪的银行进行研究发现，银行在经济发展中起了很大作用。如果说十八世纪后叶银行只是做一些loan的话，那么到了十九世纪初叶，他们开始进行大规模的credit发放。银行的存在对于经济起了很大作用。但是，有一个exception，就是在South, 农民完全ran the opposition，因为planter把银行的拥有者看做是掌握控制权的少数elite。

P2: Other historians contend that the importance of bank in driving economy is crucial. Unlike in the 18th, the bank began to provide loans to big companies from 19th.
