2. City officer: five year ago we changed something in hospital A; today we see the positive result--less cost per paitient in A than in other hospital unchanged. so we should apply same changes to the others.
Assumption: hospital A does not move those patients in severe condition(more cost) to the others.

2. bioclock: 海滩上有种东东, 好长的单词, 象是一种海藻, 当潮水来前那一刻会马上缩进海滩里, 退潮后又会出现. 很准时并且都是在白天. 这种现象引起了科学家的兴趣, 就来研究了(吃饱了撑着?) 还带了一些回去. 发现在实验室持续灯光下, 其它条件也不变的情况下, 这些alga still burrow in and out in some days. then they conclude that there must be something inside themseleve that enalbes these functions. researchers hypothesis it is a bioclock.
Second para. these alga's behaviors can also be altered by some environmental means. they compare this to a human watch: people cannot make watch run faster or slower but certainly can change watch time by reseting watch hands...

上次是在国内十月考的, 头尾准备三个月, 考试时自我感觉不错, 当问要不要 report 时, 毫不迟疑地按了, 看了下分数, 不信; 擦眼再看, 张开嘴巴呆在那里半响没有反应直到那位四眼监考姐姐进来把我撵走.万分痛苦无限感慨. 摸考很稳定: Kaplan: 600-630, princton: 720-740, 目标也定在710-750, 但那天却得了一个难以启齿的分数, 狠不能一头撞死(如果有块豆腐的话).后来一直在想:ETS老贼你是不是骗钱啊?老子的prediction向来很准的, 中考高考分数误差都是在20分以内的啊. 再后来想开了, GMAT 分数底又怎样, 老子不念MBA了(阿Q精神表露无遗)
11月底回到美国过了火鸡节, 12月闲着没事上了CD网, 看到很多XDJM们都具有视死如归斗志昂扬品质, 于是精神倍受鼓舞, 马上决定和老贼再战它三百回合,如果再败下阵来那就说明自己确实艺不如人, 来日须闭关练武或真的要退出江湖了. 于是下了CD所有能下的材料开始每天狂练CR, SC, RC. BTW, gemj 大侠的SC的确是一本难得的武林密籍. 借着它今天终于在ETS老巢杀得它俯首称臣, 一解近俩个月闷气. 爽啊.
不过话说回来, 在20多天的时间里我不可能有本质的改变, 又懒, 从学生时代起就是属于临时抱佛脚那种人. 这几天又忙着买股票, online shopping等, 所剩时间无几. 对这次成绩的提高我找了2个原因,
一. 考试方法: 啰嗦一句, 前面的1-10(1-20?)在如何强调都不过分. 上次我可能就败在这上了. 前面和后面的题pace 一样, 没把重心放在前面. 做完全部的题时间还有剩余. 这次后面的36-41题剩下3分钟基本是乱点的, 但分数却有天壤之别.
二. ETS骗人骗钱: 第一次底分, 让你再考一次; 第二次高分,给你安慰. 同意吗?????????
