In first set of excerises of LZM's GMAT grammar
book, the answer and explaination for Question 13 is wrong based on the Official
GMAT Guild. The SC is as following:
...(sth) to keep from being stolen...
A. to keep from
B. to keep it from
C. to aviod
D.
E.
In LZM's book, the right answer is C. In offical guild, the right anwer is B
because 1) the pronoun is needed to illustrate to keep what from being stolen,
2) if using \\"to avoid\\" or \\" to keep from\\", the speaker gives an
impression that sth, the stuff, is to avoid itself being stolen.
So please correct this one when you go through New Oriental's SC books.
