8.28 从中大到广外

以下是我的一些经历，希望对未考的G友有帮助：
我从中大出发，出北门后左转走15分钟到“珠江泳场总站”，上36路车（最早班是6：15，约每5分钟一班）在“外语学院”站下车，车程50分钟。然后往前走便可看到广外的正门（西门）大牌坊。向东南方（右前方）走15分钟便到专家楼（又称第五招待所）。我在7：55进入一楼等候厅，老师检查完身份证和学生证后拿个小仪器来测体温，然后填写两份东西：（1）抄写考试承诺；（2）在一张小白纸上写接收准考证和成绩单的地址。写完后交给老师，锁好自己的随身物品在柜子里（手表可以带入），等候传唤。进入里面的房间后，老师把我写在小白纸上的地址填入电脑，并照一张数码相片。然后签名，写上进入电脑房的时间，领取6张专用的草稿纸，由老师带到再里面的电脑房指定机位。

我的进入时间是8：14。
里面的电脑房不大，好像只有十几个机位，相互隔开的，房间开着空调，环境还挺不错的。桌上有两只铅笔，还有耳塞。键盘鼠标很好用的。坐稳后就可以操作了。该考试软件主要分5个部分：（1）教考生如何用键盘鼠标来操作，这部分没有用，可以快过。（2）名字叫做Gre Research的调查，比如问考生的专业，成绩，父母的学历，考gre的目的等，都是一些简单的选择题。ets可能会据此发一些graduate information到你的邮箱。该部分可以选择跳过。我没有跳，觉得先做做这些“预备题目”就没那么紧张了。（3）选择笔考的考场。

（4）正式写作。先issue后argument，写作界面和pp3是一样的。（5）填写四所由ets寄送成绩的大学，有四项：大学所在州名，学校名，专业以及寄送的成绩。搞定这五部分后可以离开考场了。我的离开时间是9：59，一共用了1小时45分钟。有人说这个时间应该控制在2小时以内，但老师没说，可能这方面管的不太严。其实2小时是很足够的了，所以进入后完全不必紧张。issue和argument之间的休息时间没有限制，但不能上厕所。

我的issue题目是：
"The only responsibility of corporate executives, provided they stay within the law, is to make as much money as possible for their companies." "The chief benefit of the study of history is to break down the illusion that people in one period of time are significantly different from people who lived at any other time in history."

argument题目是：
The following appeared in a letter to the editor of the Clearview newspaper.

“In the next mayoral election, residents of Clearview should vote for Ann Green, who is a member of the Good Earth Coalition, rather than for Frank Braun, a member of the Clearview town council, because the current members are not protecting our environment. For example, during the past year the number of factories in Clearview has doubled, air pollution levels have increased, and the local hospital has treated 25 percent more patients with respiratory illnesses. If we elect Ann Green, the environmental problems in Clearview will certainly be solved.”
