Community colleges, formerly known as junior colleges, are 2-year higher education institutions that provide postsecondary courses leading to certificate and associate degree as a pathway to a four-year degree. Below is a list of all community colleges in the state of Georgia. For each college, you will see the name of current president, website URL,  street address, phone number, postal code and city location.  See Countryaah.com for the list of all cities and towns in Georgia.

Georgia is home to 35 public community colleges that offer a wide range of educational opportunities. These two-year institutions are part of the University System of Georgia, which is overseen by the Georgia Board of Regents. Community colleges in Georgia provide students with the opportunity to pursue an associate’s degree, diploma, or certificate in fields such as business, engineering, health care and hospitality.

At a Georgia community college, students can take advantage of lower tuition rates and smaller class sizes than what they would find at a four-year university. Additionally, many schools offer flexible scheduling options such as evening or online classes which can make it easier for working adults to pursue their educational goals. Furthermore, each school has an extensive library system with access to digital databases and e-journals that can help students with their research needs.

The majority of community colleges in Georgia also have career services departments that provide assistance with resume building workshops, job search assistance and internship opportunities. These services are especially helpful for those who are looking to start their own business or pursue a career in entrepreneurship. In addition, many schools have articulation agreements with four-year universities so that credits earned at one school can easily be transferred to another if a student decides to pursue additional education after graduating from the community college.

Additionally, many Georgia community colleges are actively involved in their local communities through service learning projects and other initiatives designed to benefit residents throughout the state. This involvement allows students to gain real world experience while helping out those in need at the same time. Some schools even offer special programs for veterans who want to earn an associate’s degree or certificate while taking advantage of their GI Bill benefits.

Overall, the 35 public community colleges in Georgia provide students with an excellent option for those seeking an affordable education without sacrificing quality resources available to them during their academic journey. Whether you’re looking for an associate’s degree program or just taking some courses towards your future four-year degree – there’s something available for all types of learners within this network!
