Oklahoma is home to a number of community colleges that provide students with the opportunity to pursue an affordable education close to home. The Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education is the governing body for the state’s community college system, which includes 24 institutions throughout the state. These schools offer associate’s degrees, certificates, and professional development opportunities in areas such as business administration, healthcare, engineering technology, and more.

In addition to providing educational opportunities through its community colleges, Oklahoma also provides support services such as financial aid counseling and job placement assistance to help students succeed academically and professionally after graduation. Some of the more well-known community colleges in Oklahoma include Tulsa Community College; Rose State College; Redlands Community College; Eastern Oklahoma State College; Western Oklahoma State College; and Murray State College.

Tulsa Community College offers a wide selection of certificate programs in areas such as nursing assistant training and web design as well as associate degree programs in liberal arts studies and electronic media production. Rose State College provides numerous certificate programs for those looking to enter the workforce quickly or pursue additional education at a four-year college or university. Redlands Community College offers associate degree programs in business administration, allied health sciences, criminal justice technology, information technology management, and more.
