According to ejiaxing, Kings County, California is located in the Central Valley region of California and is home to a population of approximately 150,000 people. The county was created in 1893 from parts of Tulare and Fresno counties and is named after the nearby Kings River. It was originally inhabited by Native American tribes such as the Yokuts, Chumash, Wappo, and Salinan people. The first European settlers arrived in the area during the late 1700s and early 1800s. In 1851, Kings County was established as one of California’s original 27 counties. Soon after its formation, it became an important agricultural center for the state with crops such as wheat, barley, corn, beans, apricots and grapes being grown in abundance. During this time period, several towns were created including Hanford (the county seat), Lemoore and Corcoran. Throughout its history Kings County has served as an important agricultural hub for the state with many crops being grown in the region including nuts such as almonds and walnuts along with cotton and tomatoes. During World War II it also served as an important training ground for pilots due to its flat terrain which made it ideal for landing practice runs. In recent years Kings County has seen a shift away from its agricultural roots towards more of a service-based economy with industries such as healthcare services accounting for a large portion of employment within the county. It is also home to several notable attractions such as Tulare Lake (the largest freshwater lake in California) which serves as an important recreational site for visitors to enjoy fishing or boating activities on its waters or simply take in its natural beauty. Overall, Kings County has come a long way since it was first established back in 1851 when it was primarily used for agriculture production purposes but today it is much more diversified with industries such as healthcare services playing a major role in driving economic growth within the region while still serving up plenty of recreational opportunities for locals and visitors alike to enjoy all year round.
